Medicaid, a healthcare resource for low-income persons, offers medical coverage—but what about dental? Learn more about adult Medicaid dental coverage:
Does Medicaid cover dental?
Individual states decide whether to include adult dental coverage in their Medicaid options (although it is mandatory for children). Dental coverage includes preventive care in addition to other specialties such as orthodontics, periodontics, endodontics and restorative services. Medicaid does cover emergency dental work, or dental work that is required for other medical procedures or care.
